Phoenix, Arizona; January 5th, 2023.- The historic relationship between Sonora and Arizona will be strengthen along this administration, given that great and large projects depend of the binational interest in matter of communication and technologic development, governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño affirmed.
The Sonoran leader attended this past Thursday theTaking Protest Ceremony of the new Arizona’s governor, Katie Hobbs, with whom has held previous meetings in which it was stated the good cooperation between both governments to work in such a coordinated way for the realization of projects, as an example the relocation of train tracks in Nogales.
“I estimate that with this taking over possession, it will give an inflection turning point in the Sonora-Arizona relationship. It will be an opportunity for a stellar relaunch in the relation. We are unified by 500 Kilometers of frontier and strong economic, commercial, cultural and family ties that intensify the relation and that is not diminished by a dividing line. In reality we make a binational community and I am very optimistic that beyond this new administration in the State of Arizona Government, we launch stellar levels in the relationship between the two states, that historically has been of exception”, the leader affirmed.
Similarly, Durazo Montaño explained that the technologic revolution that must accompany the leverage of Sonora’s clean energies, will come from the University of Arizona, institution with which the Government of Sonora has cordial relationship and mutual interests.
These actions, he said, will empower both states, making the transport of merchandise a more efficient and dynamic sector, pairing with the progress on energetic and technologic matter with the increase of competitivity in the region and generation of wellbeing for habitants on both sides of the border.
