LA MEGARREGIÓN: COFETUR POR ATRAER MÁS TURISMO PARA SONORA

Prestadores de servicios y tour-operadores se reunirán en Arizona

Para incrementar el flujo de visitantes de negocios y esparcimiento a Sonora, la Comisión de Fomento al Turismo (COFETUR) en junta celebrada el pasado 24 de julio, en las instalaciones de CONFETUR, dio por iniciados los trabajos de preparación de la reunión de tour-operadores de Sonora y Arizona a celebrarse el próximo 8 de septiembre nena ciudad de Tucson, Arizona.

Héctor Platt Mazón, encargado de Despacho de COFETUR, subrayó que los acuerdos de preparación de esa reunión, se derivan de la última plenaria de la Comisión Sonora-Arizona, en la cual se promueve en el marco de la Megarregión.

“Hemos mantenido constantes reuniones con otros prestadores de servicios de Sonora para incentivarlos a trabajar en coordinación con los de Arizona y ofrecer así mejores productos y servicios, queremos reforzar la alianza turística entre ambos Estados y nos ayudemos a consolidar como destinos en esta Megarregión”, explicó Platt.

“En ese encuentro se tendrá a gente experta de ambos Estados, quienes hablarán de las necesidades de cada uno de los mercados, por ejemplo, habrá personas que nos expondrán sobre cómo elaborar un plan de marketing para los turistas de Arizona, eso nos servirá mucho a nosotros para traerlos a Sonora”, explicó.

Entre los temas a exponer están: Perfiles de los turistas de Estados Unidos y México; cuáles son sus preferencias e intereses; prácticas de comercialización y canales de comunicación para publicidad, entre otros.

“Nosotros nos podemos complementar perfectamente con ellos, es una gran oportunidad que tenemos de continuar con esa gran relación que existe entre Arizona y Sonora a nivel del sector turístico, así trabajando de la mano será de beneficios para ambos Estados”, enfatizó.

Se prevé el acordar las futuras reuniones para las próximas temporadas cada año para mejorar al sector y atraer a más visitantes a la Megarregión, entre los estados y de otras de Estados Unidos y de México. En el 2018 esta reunión se realizará en Sonora.

Service providers and tour-operators shall meet in Arizona

In a meeting held last 24th of July at the facilities  of COFETUR,  the Tourism Promotion Commission opened the preparation work for the meeting of tour-operators of Sonora and Arizona which will be held next 8th of September in the city of Tucson, Arizona, to increase the flow of business and recreation visitors.

Hector Platt Mazón, officer of COFETUR, emphasized that the preparation resolutions for this meeting are the result of the last plenary session of the Sonora-Arizona Commission, which is promoted within the framework of the Megaregion.

Platt explained that “We have held several meetings with other service providers of Sonora, encouraging them to work in coordination with the service providers of Arizona to offer better products and services; we wish to strengthen the tourist alliance between both States and help each other in consolidating this Megaregion”.

“In this encounter, we expect experts from both States,  discussing the needs of each one of the markets; for example, there will be persons who will talk about how to prepare a marketing plan for Arizona tourists; this will be a great help for us”, he added.

The topics will include the following: Qualifications of tourist from the United States and Mexico; their preferences and interests; marketing practices and advertising means, among others.

He stressed, “We may perfectly help each other; it is a great opportunity to continue this great relationship between Arizona and Sonora in the tourist sector; working together will benefit both States”.

We expect to arrange future meetings for next seasons each year in order to enhance the sector and attract more visitors to the Megaregion, among the states and others between the United States and Mexico. This meeting will be held in Sonora in 2018.
