Modernization and equipping Maritime Signaling

Continuing with the strategic projects carried out during the year 2019, the Federal Government, through the Integral Port Administration of Guaymas,  with the aim of increasing the safety in mooring ship traffic, navigation canals and docks, in addition to the commitment to streamline the docking and undocking maneuvers of the great ships, eh Port carried out the modernization of  maritime signaling, using  top technology in the installation of the following equipment:

 

Docking

1.- Sectored lights.

They are designed to replace the first and second course leading lights, which are the entry and exit  lights for ships at the Port, for an easy and efficient course correction.

 

2.- Self-contained lights.

They are located at the location buoys of the navigation canal; they are more efficient and consist of a maintenance free system.

 

3.- A radio beacon which is a positioning system located at the docking buoy, providing an important service to navigators, notwithstanding the weather conditions.

 

With these actions, the Port of Guaymas consolidates its position and provides safety in furtherance of all kinds of ships, contributing to the quality of the service within the navigation canals for the protection of  ships through equipment and updated procedures in connection to safety; providing state of the art infrastructure for the arrival of ships, in addition to other services provided through the Maritime Traffic Control Center.
